Because every blog needs an obligatory introduction entry, here’s mine!
This is a public blog where I record daily musings, books recommendations, reviews, photos, costume progress, plans for world domination, etc. A place to unleash my inner nerd, so to say.
My name is Laura, a nineteen year old Puerto Rican living in New York City. I am currently a student at Queensborough Community College, hoping to transfer to a four year school in order to pursue a major in the creative arts.

I'm a pretty big dreamer, if you couldn't tell.
My passions include sewing/designing costumes, writing, reading, traveling and playing video games. I love Disney, Japanese Pop Culture, learning new languages and meeting new people. When I am not at school, I am working at Jamba Juice as a Training Mentor.
I would be lying if I said this was the first time I was keeping a blog. My collection of online journals is vast, though many of them have been deleted. They were all kept via Livejournal, which I still use. I use Livejournal as a way to keep in contact with the many friends I have all over the country (and more recently, out of the country too!).
For the majority of my life I have been surrounded by the arts. I take advantage of Broadway/Off-Broadway shows and I thoroughly enjoy seeing performances at the Metropolitan Opera House. I am a huge fan of the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) who performs regularly at the Met (though my own ballet skills are pretty laughable!). I hope to be successful in a career that involves Theatre in some shape, way or form. Right now I want to believe my calling is Costume Design but I am trying my hand at acting too. I want to explore Playwriting/Screenwriting out of curiosity as well.
I’ll sum this up with a quote from Walt Disney:
“All our dreams come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
